International Conference on Climate Resilient Mountain Agriculture convenes global experts

The Centre for Climate Resilient Mountain Agriculture hosted the 1st International Conference on Climate Resilient Mountain Agriculture under the theme Innovating Together for Sustainable Livelihoods.

Held in hybrid mode, the three-day conference united academia, researchers, practitioners, policymakers and community leaders from the public and private sectors, including non-governmental organisations, to explore climate resilient agricultural strategies for mountain regions.

Sessions addressed glacial melt and water availability, changing precipitation patterns, climate-smart agriculture, agro-forestry, digital tools for adaptation, climate financing, gender and community engagement, and cross-border cooperation on transboundary watershed management.
