Soil health, fertility, land management and environmental quality in fragile mountain landscapes.
Soil and Environmental Sciences examines the physical, chemical and biological health of soils and the wider environment. Core areas include soil fertility and plant nutrition, land degradation and conservation, water quality, waste management and environmental impact assessment.
The department hosts HEC-funded NRPU research projects and provides soil and water testing services to farmers across the region.
