About Us
The horticulture sector is of principal importance in the agricultural industry of Pakistan. The horticulture sector not only produces fruits and vegetables for local consumption but also earns foreign exchange by exporting fruits and vegetables. Pakistan is blessed with a vast agricultural environment so that a wide variety of temperate, subtropical and Mediterranean climate fruits and vegetables can be grown in suitable locations according to the specific seasonal needs of different fruit and vegetable crops. Swat district is the center of fruit and vegetable production in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province of Pakistan. Apples, peaches, apricots, pears, plums, and walnuts are the main crops. The area is also famous for the production of tomatoes, potatoes, onions, honey and soybeans.
